Legion of Honor Awarded to Colonel Tom Morris

Congratulations to Colonel Tom Morris, USA Retired, on his award of the French Legion of Honor.  Colonel Morris, who is 104-years-old, served with the 38th Infantry Regiment of the 2nd Infantry Division during World War II.

  1. Pvt.Fred Dixon was w/the 38 th inf. regt. 2nd div. He was married to my aunt; and was killed Dec.17,1944 (Antwerp) Belgium. Thank y’all for your service and all your hardships.     1. Congrats to Colonel Morris…a true hero! My father and mother (Hal and Evelyn Hankel) were life-long friends with Colonel Morris and Margaret. My father also served in WWII as company commander (M company, 2d Battalion, 38th infantry).
