Welcome to the New 2IDA website

2IDPatchWelcome to the newest version of the 2nd Indianhead Division website.

It has been 5 years since the last major change and it was time to bring the site up to date.  A lot has changed in 5 years.

Right now, the site format is similar to the old but that will be changing.   Rather than change everything at once, it will be gradual.

Comments are permitted on most every page and all relevant comments will be approved for publication.  Please feel free to suggest changes and improvements.

If you feel more comfortable with the OLD format, click on “OLD FORMAT” above.  It will be around for a while.

  1. I Served in 2nd division company A 38th inf regt from sometime in late April until sept 1951 when I was wounded the second time. Spent time on hospital ship in Pusan and 141st general in Sasebo Japan. Returned to states in march 1951. I was discharged after serving the 21 months active duty required and placed on inactive reserve. I would love to hear from anyone who served in the same company and survived and is still hanging around. My foxhole buddy Bill Henry from Arlington VA made it through and I heard from him once, but lost track of him and haven’t been able to locate him in recent years. Not too many of us left.
